We are on the lookout for an ambitious Machine Learning Engineer to join our Engineering Team on our exciting growth journey, where you will advance our in-house Machine Learning capabilities. You will have a vital role in assuring the highest quality of our product: The market's best mobile app for employee engagement to empower and connect the frontline workers and HQ.
Relesys has worked with Machine Learning and AI for several years and already delivers AI-powered features as part of our platform, developed in close collaboration with selected technology partners within areas such as predictive analytics and advanced data analysis 📲
We are now taking the next step by strengthening our internal environments, tooling, and competencies for machine learning development. Our ambition is to increase internal ownership of ML solutions, improve how models are developed and operated in production, and ensure stronger alignment with our product architecture, data, and long-term strategy. As our Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in evolving how ML is built at Relesys - working alongside existing partners, internal BI and engineering teams, and product stakeholders to mature our ML capabilities and embed them more deeply into our SaaS platform.

Your responsibilities
Design, build, train, and improve machine learning models used in the Relesys platform, with a strong focus on production readiness and long-term maintainability
Take increasing ownership of existing AI and ML solutions developed in collaboration with external partners (e.g. predictive analytics), including evaluation, optimization, and gradual internalization where relevant
Establish and mature internal ML development environments, pipelines, and workflows covering data preparation, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
Collaborate closely with product managers to translate business and customer needs into well-defined ML use cases and measurable outcomes
Work hands-on with software engineering teams to integrate ML models into our .NET-based backend and APIs in a scalable and secure way
Contribute to the design and implementation of an AI integration layer that enables use of both Microsoft and non-Microsoft AI services without vendor lock-in
Monitor model performance, drift, latency, and cost in production, and continuously improve reliability and quality of ML-powered features
Help define standards and best practices for ML at Relesys, including model versioning, documentation, testing, and review processes
Ensure ML solutions align with enterprise requirements for security, privacy, compliance (e.g. GDPR), and ethical AI usage
Act as a technical sparring partner for BI, engineering, and product teams on data, ML, and AI-related topics
Support knowledge sharing and capability building across the organization as our internal ML and AI competencies grow
Who are you?
You have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Machine Learning in production
You have strong development skills
Experience deploying ML models as services (APIs, batch jobs, pipelines)
Experience working closely with software engineers
You have solid understanding of Model evaluation & validation, Data leakage & bias, and Concept drift & monitoring
You hold a strong software engineering mindset with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach'
You are comfortable taking ownership and responsibility in a role with broad scope and influence
Able to collaborate closely with product managers, BI, and software engineers across teams
Curious and continuously learning, with a genuine interest in keeping up with developments in ML and AI
Thoughtful and responsible approach to AI, including awareness of ethics, bias, and data privacy
You have excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
You are located in or near Vilnius or Kaunas
Furthermore, it would be great, but not required, if you:
Have experience with Azure ML
Experience with LLMs, NLP, embeddings, or generative AI
Familiarity with MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning)
Experience in SaaS or enterprise environments
Proficiency in working with and understanding security, compliance, or/and regulated environments
