Salary Competitive

Are you a skilled backend developer who cares about building reliable systems and thoughtful products that people depend on every day? Then you are what we’re looking for!

About Tiimo

We build Tiimo, an AI daily planner and learning platform made with and for neurodivergent brains. One in five people is neurodivergent. That’s a lot of brilliant minds navigating tools that weren’t designed for them. Tiimo helps with clear visuals, soft nudges, and routines that work with your brain, not against it.¨

Apple named Tiimo iPhone App of the Year 2025 for clarity, care, and creativity. The year before, we were finalists for the Apple Design Award for Inclusivity. We’re proud of the recognition, but even prouder of what it represents: accessible design that genuinely helps people in their everyday lives.

Today, more than 500,000 people plan with Tiimo. From our home in Copenhagen, we’re a team that leads with empathy, ships with ambition, and measures success in everyday wins: getting started, staying on track, and feeling good about it.

About the role

As our new Senior Backend Developer, you will be a hands-on engineer and a trusted technical partner to the rest of the product team. You will help shape and evolve our backend architecture, take ownership of data security and database design, and support frontend and design colleagues in delivering new product experiences.

We build everything in-house, and you’ll join a friendly and ambitious 10-person Tech & Product team based in Copenhagen. The role is hybrid, allowing for a healthy mix of remote and in-office work.

In this role, you will

  • Act as security owner, safeguarding user data and ensuring compliance and best practices

  • Own services end-to-end: development, deployment, hosting, performance, and monitoring

  • Design, maintain, and optimize our database layer, with a strong focus on data integrity, scalability, and well-structured data models

  • Build and maintain key system integrations, including Google Calendar APIs and Apple CalDAV

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and frontend to shape and deliver new features

Upcoming focus areas include

  • Continued development of our AI assistant

  • Scaling our backend and database architecture as our user base grows

  • Further development and hardening of calendar integrations and scheduling logic

  • Improving reliability, observability, and security across our platform

You will be a great fit if you

  • Are purpose-driven and motivated by building products for an underserved neurodivergent community

  • Are a thoughtful, detail-oriented problem-solver with strong communication skills

  • Thrive in an international and inclusive environment (English is our working language)

  • Have strong experience with .NET and C#

  • Have solid experience working with relational databases and data modeling (we use MS SQL)

  • Keep security, stability, and maintainability front of mind in your work

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Apple CalDAV and/or Google Calendar APIs

  • Experience designing and evolving database schemas in production systems

  • Frontend development experience

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with unit and integration testing

  • Experience from a startup or scale-up environment

Our tech stack includes

  • .NET 9 / 10 & C#

  • MS SQL (core to our product and data model)

  • Azure hosting

  • Next.js web app

  • SwiftUI iOS app

  • Strapi CMS

  • Webflow

  • Tooling: Linear, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Sentry, Firebase, Mixpanel, Metabase, Slack, Figma, and Notion

Benefits & practicalities

  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid setup tailored to your needs

  • A high level of responsibility, balanced with strong support from an experienced and caring team

  • Hands-on impact on a product used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide

  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • You must have the right to work in the EU, as we cannot support work permit applications

Tiimo | Planning & Productivity

The world wasn’t built for neurodivergent people - but we’re changing that. Tiimo is a radical reimagining of what planning can be when it’s designed for brains that don’t fit the mold. ADHD, Autism, executive function challenges? We get it. Traditional productivity tools demand rigid structure, endless lists, and an energy level that just doesn’t match how our brains operate. So we built something better. The problem we’re solving Most planning tools assume that time feels concrete, motivation is unlimited, and reminders alone will keep people on track. That’s not reality for everyone. For neurodivergent folks - people whose brains process information, time, and focus differently - the challenge isn’t a lack of effort. It’s friction, overwhelm, and tools that don’t adapt to the way we think. The result? A cycle of frustration, missed deadlines, and feeling like we’re failing at systems that were never designed for us in the first place. Why Tiimo? Tiimo isn’t about forcing people into a system that was never made for them - it’s about rewriting the rules entirely. We’re building a world where productivity isn’t about grind culture but about actually working with your brain. A world where visual timelines replace overwhelming lists, gentle nudges replace blaring alarms, and structure is built to support, not suffocate. Founded in 2015, Tiimo was one of the first digital planning tools designed specifically for neurodivergent people. We’re a woman-founded company that has grown into a global movement, proving that productivity isn’t one-size-fits-all. Our work has been shaped by lived experience, community feedback, and the belief that different brains deserve different tools. We’re not just another productivity app. We’re a rebellion against rigid systems. A movement for accessible, intuitive, and affirming tech. If you believe in designing tools that work for people - not the other way around - you’re in the right place.
