Build the AI backbone of a platform that drives real climate impact
Are you about to graduate or have you recently finished your degree? Do you spend your free time experimenting with Large Language Models, building AI prototypes, or exploring agent-based systems just to see how far you can push them?
At Quantified Impacts, we are on a mission to help manufacturers calculate and document product-level emissions with speed and ISO-compliant accuracy. We believe that you cannot manage what you cannot measure and we believe AI will fundamentally change how this measurement, documentation, and analysis is done. We are looking for an AI Engineer / Applied LLM Developer who wants to build the AI backbone of a platform that drives real climate impact.
As a member of our engineering team, you won’t just be “experimenting with prompts” you will be designing, building, and shipping AI-powered capabilities that are deeply integrated into our production platform. You will work across the full lifecycle of AI features: from early experimentation and prototyping to scalable, reliable production implementations.
This is a role for an AI-driven builder who is excited to take ownership and help shape how AI is used across the platform.
Design & Implement: Build production-ready AI solutions using LLMs that integrate tightly with our backend systems and data models.
LLM Orchestration & Agents: Design and implement workflows involving prompt chaining, tool usage, memory, retrieval (RAG), and multi-step agents.
From Idea to Production: Take AI ideas from experimentation and prototypes all the way to robust, scalable production deployments.
Platform Integration: Ensure AI components work seamlessly with our microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.
Drive Innovation: Continuously propose new ways AI can improve our platform, user experience, and internal workflows.
Quality First: Make sure AI solutions are testable, observable, and safe to run in production environments.
Recent Graduate: You are finishing your degree or have recently graduated (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field or you are at a similar early stage in your career.
A Builder at Heart: You experiment with LLMs and AI systems in your own time and can show projects, prototypes, demos, or repositories that reflect your curiosity and hands-on learning.
Hands-on with LLMs: You have worked with tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar through personal projects, coursework, research, or early production systems.
Engineering-Minded: You think about architecture, failure modes, scalability, and maintainability not just demos and prompts.
Product-Oriented: You enjoy turning real-world problems into AI-powered solutions that users actually benefit from.
Independent & Curious: You are comfortable taking ownership, learning fast, and pushing ideas forward without being micromanaged.
You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you should be excited to work with:
Languages: Python, Golang
AI / LLMs: OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, open-source LLMs, RAG, embeddings
Orchestration: Agent frameworks, workflow orchestration, tool calling
Backend & Infrastructure: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, Azure
Data: PostgreSQL, microservices architecture
Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry
Other: gRPC, RabbitMQ
Real Impact: Every line of code you write helps companies reduce their environmental footprint.
Growth Mentorship: You will work in a fast-paced environment where you will be given responsibility early, backed by a team that cares about your professional growth.
Modern Tooling: No legacy monoliths here. We work with a modern, cloud-native stack.
Flat Hierarchy: Your ideas matter. We are a small, agile team where everyone contributes to the product direction.
Quantified Impacts is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
