From our HQ in Aarhus, we are on a mission to revolutionize a trillion-dollar industry that hasn't changed in decades. We are moving from "collecting trash" to "Data-Driven Urban Sustainability." We optimize routes for thousands of heavy trucks, save tons of CO2, and remove cars from the streets—all through code.

We are building a World-Class Engineering Team right here in Aarhus. We don't believe you need to be in Silicon Valley to build global tech. We are assembling a "Special Forces" unit of ambitious engineers, designers, and product people who believe they can fix the world's waste problem.

Now, we need a Frontend Lead to take the helm of our user experience and define the next generation of our platform.

The Role: Pioneer the "AI-First" Frontend

We are not just looking for a coder. We are looking for a Visionary Architect.

WasteHero is moving from "Hand-Coding Everything" to "AI-Accelerated Engineering". We are embracing the future of development—utilizing Generative UI, Lovable.dev, and "Vibe Coding" methodologies.

You will lead this transformation. You will define how we blend rock-solid React architecture with the lightning speed of AI generation to deliver value 10x faster than our competitors.

What You Will Own

• The Architecture of Impact: You decide the technical strategy. You ensure our platform is robust enough to handle data from 50+ countries but flexible enough to evolve daily.

• The AI-Native Workflow: You are the pilot. You integrate tools like Lovable and Copilot into our dev process, slashing boilerplate time so the team can focus on complex problem-solving.

• Bridge to Backend: You don't work in a silo. You collaborate closely with our Backend Leads to design GraphQL/REST APIs that serve the product vision perfectly.

• The Design System: You ensure consistency. You build the component library that makes our platform look and feel "World Class" across all modules.

• Mentorship: You are the technical captain for the frontend team across our hubs. You raise the bar for everyone around you.

• A Product-Minded Engineer: You don't just close tickets. You have a desire to create applications with a clear product strategy that solve actual problems for customers. You challenge the roadmap if it doesn't make sense for the user.

• The AI-Embracer: You see AI as a jetpack, not a threat. You are curious about the future of coding (Generative UI) and want to lead a team that is ahead of the curve.

• React Expert: You know the rules well enough to know when AI breaks them. You understand the deep mechanics of React, TypeScript, and state management.

• Core: React.js, TypeScript (Non-negotiable).

• Next-Gen Tooling: Lovable.dev, AI-assisted dev flows.

• State & Data: Context API, GraphQL & REST.

• Styling: Tailwind / Styled Components.
