The Role

We are looking for a multi-faceted data engineer with expertise in tracking implementation. As a data engineer at GeoGuessr, you'll build out and maintain the data platform that drives our game and business decisions. You will ensure that tracking is implemented correctly throughout our core application and contribute to the design and evolution of our analytics tracking system itself. You are comfortable working with bigger data volumes and apply engineering principles to implement robust and scalable data pipelines.

What you'll do:

• Deploy, develop and maintain ELT pipelines of gaming and business data

• Build out and improve our analytics tracking infrastructure

• Assist product teams in tracking implementation

• Work with developers to ensure analytics events are tracked correctly

What we are hoping you bring:

• Min. 3 years' experience as data engineer (or software engineer with heavy data focus)

• Python proficiency

• C# or similar application development

• Comfortable working with SQL

• Experience with ELT/ETL pipelines

• Experience in cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Extra nice if you bring experience in:

• Dagster or equivalent (Airflow, prefect)

• Game analytics

• dbt

• Saas/subscription business models

• AWS (Redshift, S3, ECS etc)

• Infrastructure as code
