Measurlabs is a growth company providing scientific laboratory analyses, materials characterization, and testing services for international clients in 60+ countries. We work with a network of hundreds of partner laboratories around the world and bring their best services to our clients' reach.
Practically every company developing, manufacturing, or importing tangible products or materials needs laboratory testing services for R&D, quality control, and certification. By buying these services from us, clients can access a vast catalog of testing services through a single partner.
We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to take ownership of our global partner laboratory network.
This is a unique opportunity to be the first procurement hire in the company. You won’t just be stepping into an existing process; you will be the architect who builds it. We need a person who knows how to set up the foundation for systematic procurement work and execute it with a commercial mindset.
Your primary focus will be proactive: identifying the best laboratory partners globally, contacting them, and negotiating agreements that ensure we have the best network in the industry. You will act as the strategic link between Measurlabs and our supply chain.
Strategy Creation: Defining and implementing a subcontracting and laboratory partner strategy (determining what we buy and from where).
Network Building: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting the most promising partners for negotiations.
Deal Making: Negotiating framework agreements, SLAs, and annual contract revisions with laboratories to ensure competitive purchase prices and capacity.
Performance Management: Proactively monitoring laboratory performance and enforcing compliance regarding cost, quality, capacity, and turnaround times.
Operations: Managing legal agreements, administrative procurement tasks, and acting as the point of contact for escalations.
Indirect Procurement: Leading processes for major indirect purchases (e.g., occupational healthcare, office space).
To succeed in this role, you need to be a builder. We are looking for someone who enjoys the thrill of the hunt when finding new partners and has the tenacity to close favorable deals.
Experience: At least 5 years of procurement experience in a senior specialist or managerial role.
Industry Knowledge: Experience procuring complex B2B services (e.g., life sciences, professional services) is highly ideal.
Track Record: Proven ability to own supplier relationships end-to-end and deliver tangible bottom-line results (cost savings).
Communication: Fluent in English. Fluency in Finnish, Swedish, Polish, German, or French is a benefit.
Location: Based in Helsinki or willing to commute to our Helsinki office frequently.
We are a growth company, so we hope you are equipped with an open mind and a performance-oriented mindset. We want to hire a person who is motivated to take the company to the next level, work hard while doing so, and enjoy the ride together with the current team. We will reward you with stock options for this.
We expect your full-time presence at our Vallila office during the first months to learn the business, after which working with a hybrid model will be an option.
A competitive compensation package of salary and stock options.
A permanent position in Helsinki, Finland.
A chance to build the procurement function from scratch in an internationalizing scale-up organization.
