This position is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, branding, digital content creation, and translating complex sustainability topics into accessible, compelling narratives.
As a Communications Intern, you will help shape how Circular Innovation Lab communicates its mission and global work to diverse audiences, including policymakers, businesses, researchers, and the wider sustainability community.
During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in strategic communications and content development, including:
Creating a social media strategy for Circular Innovation Lab
Managing LinkedIn and Instagram channels, including content planning and publishing
Developing messaging for newsletters, articles, and digital campaigns
Supporting the team in building a communications and marketing system for the think tank

Collaborating with a global team on communication needs for ongoing circular economy projects

Strong written and spoken English
Genuine interest in circular economy and sustainable development
Understanding of social media trends and audience engagement
Ability to follow global circular economy news and communicate it effectively
Creativity, diligence, and attention to detail
Experience with social media management or content creation
Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, Figma, etc.)
Ability to think strategically about branding and communications
Previous experience in sustainability communications (a plus, not required)
Contribute to the communication strategy of a European circular economy think tank
Global exposure to cross-sector sustainability topics
Creative freedom and the ability to influence brand direction
Build a strong portfolio of communication work
Work within a multicultural team (India, Spain, Chile, Denmark, Portugal)
Opportunity to collaborate on international events and high-impact sustainability initiatives
