Background

Accounting is the backbone of every business — but the tools are outdated, slow, and built for experts, not entrepreneurs. We’re building RegnskapGPT: an AI assistant that helps small businesses with troubleshooting, accounting efficiency, and automated analysis.

We already have:

✅ A working MVP with early users

✅ Well-rounded team with commercial and technical experience

✅ A clear vision: make accounting easier, faster, and smarter.

Now we’re looking for a Founding Engineer / CTO to take full ownership of the technical side and scale this product with us.

The Role

You’ll be our technical co-founder. This means not just coding, but owning tech strategy, architecture, and scaling. You’ll set the foundation for how we build, grow, and run an AI-first fintech product.

You will

• Own core development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure

• Lead decisions on architecture, scalability, and performance

• Shape how AI is integrated into the product

• Work closely with the founding team on product direction, growth, and user needs

• TypeScript

• Python

• Redis

• PostgreSQL

• Rust (not a must, but a bonus if you’re into it)

• Cloud (Azure / AWS / Digital Ocean — we’re open)

You’ll have the freedom to adjust and shape the stack according to what makes sense.

Who you are

• A full-stack engineer who enjoys building product end-to-end

• Comfortable owning tech and making key architectural calls

• Excited about going from MVP → scalable product

• Pragmatic, but with an eye for quality and detail

• Startup-minded: fast-moving, resourceful, and not afraid of unknowns

Bonus if

• You’ve built and shipped your own projects or worked in early-stage startups

• You have experience with LLMs, embeddings, or vector search

• You’ve touched fintech, regtech, or accounting tools
