At Nordbo Robotics, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Vision Engineer with a strong background in AI and computer vision, who is ready to take the next step into a Team Lead role.

You will play a key role in driving the development of our cutting-edge Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) platforms. As both a technical expert and a team leader, you will help shape the direction of our solutions and lead a small, dedicated team to success.

We empower manufacturers with intuitive, no-code tools for surface inspection and quality control – and we need someone who can bridge deep technical knowledge with team coordination and leadership.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and further develop our AOI platforms:

  • One for annotating and training deep learning models for surface defect detection

  • Another for running trained models on edge devices in real production environments

• Mentor and guide a small team of vision and AI engineers

• Improve current methods and algorithms to handle challenging industrial images and conditions

• Collaborate with research institutes to test and integrate new AI technologies

• Implement and optimize AI models using PyTorch, Detectron2, or similar frameworks

• Maintain and evolve computer vision pipelines in C++ and Python on Linux

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into our no-code robotics platforms

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of professional experience in computer vision and deep learning, with proven results in production environments

• A solid background in C++ and Python, and experience with Linux development

• Strong hands-on experience with frameworks like PyTorch, Detectron2, or equivalents

• Experience deploying and optimizing models for edge devices and industrial use cases

• Previous collaboration with research institutions or working with emerging AI technologies is a plus

• A team-oriented mindset with a desire to lead, mentor, and build up a high-performing team
