Provide actionable insights for product features

As an Analytics Engineer at Vivino, you will be key in building and maintaining a robust and scalable data foundation that powers decision-making across the organization. Working at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, your mission is to ensure a single source of truth, deliver trusted KPIs, and make data accessible and actionable through tools like DBT, Redshift, and Looker.

You will collaborate across product, commercial, and operational teams to deliver data models, dashboards, and structures that drive alignment, insight, and business outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities can be categorised as the following:

• Own the data transformation layer: Design, build, and maintain well-documented, scalable, and testable data models in Redshift, primarily using dbt, to ensure a single source of truth
• Define & deliver trusted KPIs: Consistently define, implement, and maintain core business KPIs, ensuring they are understood and utilized company-wide
• Develop & maintain BI dashboards: Build and manage impactful Looker dashboards that provide actionable insights to Product, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and leadership teams
• Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate closely with product, commercial, and operational teams to scope analytical needs, define success metrics, and proactively surface insights to drive business outcomes
• Champion data quality & accessibility: Drive continuous improvements in data quality, performance, and documentation, while promoting data literacy and self-service capabilities across the organization

• Proven track record in analytics engineering, data modeling, or advanced data analytics roles, ideally within a product or e-commerce environment
• Mastery of SQL for complex data transformations and extensive hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
• Demonstrated expertise with dbt (data build tool) in a production environment, including building scalable, testable, and well-documented data models
• Advanced proficiency with Business Intelligence platforms, specifically Looker (LookML, dashboard development, data exploration, and governance)
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, KPI design, business metrics, and experience working with modern ELT/ETL data pipelines
