As an Interconnect Hardware Design Engineer at Phanofi, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative interconnect hardware that forms the backbone of next-generation data centers and advanced electronics. This position offers the opportunity to lead the design and integration of optoelectronic components, mixed signal electronics, and high-speed PCBs for transceiver solutions within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Lead the design and development of high-speed PCB and packaging solutions for advanced interconnect products.
Take ownership of transceiver and interconnect hardware designs, including thermal, EMC/EMI, and system performance considerations.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage complex projects and integrate multiple system components.
Support system-level testing, characterization, and validation, focusing on high data rate performance and reliability.
Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively across stakeholders and report progress regularly.
PhD degree or MSc. degree or equivalent in photonics engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in electronic circuit and PCB design, preferably for high-speed interconnects or related hardware.
Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, packaging techniques, and hardware validation.
Demonstrated skills in managing projects and driving hardware design from concept to production.
Proficiency in at least one programming or hardware description language (e.g., Python, C, VHDL, Verilog).
Strong oral and written English communication skills.
Expertise in thermal management techniques for high-power density systems.
Basic or advanced knowledge of optoelectronic component integration.
Familiarity with high data rate system characterization and radio frequency (RF) testing.
Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) design and troubleshooting.
