Senior Data Analyst at Subaio

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who wants to drive how we use data to build better products and make smarter decisions.

You will play a key role in providing critical data analysis, driving new data-based product features, and identifying business opportunities for growth. As part of our product team, you will work closely with product managers, product designers, and financial subject matter experts to develop our products.

You will act as a sparring partner for the team responsible for managing our huge merchant database, data quality operations, and merchant operations, helping them deepen their understanding of data and identify and improve key quality aspects to ensure high-quality product delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Be the leading data expert at Subaio: Serve as the go-to person for all data-related matters, providing expert insights and guidance to internal teams and leadership.

• Support data-driven decision making: Work alongside product managers and subject matter experts to provide data analysis to support the development of new features and capabilities. Use data insights to help identify and validate new business opportunities.

• Design data features: Alongside product and engineering teams, design and drive the implementation of data features such as financial insights, updated transaction identification models, scoring models, and quality metrics.

• Sparring partner for Data & Market team: Collaborate with the Data & Market team to monitor product quality, assess performance metrics, and identify focus areas. Proactively analyze operational challenges and suggest improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar

• Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data

• Strong communication skills to convey insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience working with large datasets and extracting actionable insights

• Strong experience in SQL for complex analysis

• Experience working with Python for data wrangling and automation

• Experience from the financial industry is a plus, but not a requirement
