This is the role

In this position, you will be a part of an ambitious cross-functional team of talented and highly experienced professionals. The squad is focused on creating and fostering connections between content creators and their audiences through communities – including commenting, reacting, polls, and engaging with one another on curated feeds.

Your main responsibilities in this role:

• Creating and improving features in the Connections domain
• Becoming an expert in community-related features such as comment sections, reactions and polls
• Taking initiative and participating in migration from React Native to fully native application development
• Participating in the design discussion with the rest of the cross-functional team (Product Managers, designers, other developers, and UX researchers) to improve and expand the community experience

We are looking for a colleague, who is passionate about podcasts and audio content, as well as understands the concepts of working in a startup environment to make it a fun ride. In more detail, you would succeed more easily in this role if you:

• Have meaningful experience and love working with Android (Kotlin)
• Have a good understanding of the Android lifecycle - Activities, Fragments, Services
• Would like to work in modern Android UI-based architecture using Jetpack Compose
• Understand the need and have experience in writing unit tests
  
• Understand the benefit of and have experience with feature toggles and A/B testing
• Can use English not only for coding but also for communication
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability over not only the Connections domain, but the product in general
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and ways of working
• Think that with a team you walk further than alone and you have a general positive attitude
  
• Have a strong passion for mobile applications and mobile development
• Have an experience working with GraphQL (it's an additional plus)
