Spritju is building the future of energy traceability. Our SaaS platform helps businesses track, verify, and report their renewable energy use — supporting real-time climate action, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance.

By simplifying how companies verify their energy sources (through streamlined energy certificate procurement) and report their usage, we bring transparency to energy consumption. As regulations increasingly require more granular verification, we’re working toward a visionary goal: building a platform that matches every kilowatt-hour of consumed energy with its generation source in real time. This is the core project we want your help with.

The Role

We're looking for someone who’s ready to take the lead and grow into a long-term partner, someone who’s excited to build ownership and shape the future of our company. This CTO role is equity-based (we're not yet offering salaries), but it comes with the opportunity to join the founding team, own your work, and grow alongside what you’re building.

We understand you might have another job for financial stability. This role and our company isn’t a regular 9-5, we’re looking for people who build for themselves, and who are responsible and driven by the success of what we’re creating.

What matters most is that you’re motivated to prioritize the success of Spritju and excited to build something meaningful from the ground up. You’ll be a key part of our founding team, with the freedom to shape the product and eventually build your own team.

Our platform helps companies trace, verify, and report their renewable energy use. We already have a working MVP (https://app.spritju.com/), and we’re now focused on improving how it works and feels for users. That’s where you come in.

​​What You’ll Work On

💡 Real-world feature development 📈 User behavior and UX optimization ⚙️ Automating energy data imports (from sensors or APIs) 🧩 24/7 traceability visualizations and dashboards

Project examples:

• Refactor navigation, layout and title structure to improve clarity, usability and performance

• Improve the UX and design of our dashboards and marketplace

• Design cleaner, more intuitive interfaces for dashboards and energy data

• Improve how buyers and sellers interact in our marketplace (e.g. simplify order flows)

• Set up automated or simplified data updates (e.g. for market prices)

• Build smart, automated API connections (e.g. connect directly to clients’ energy meters)

• Streamline account management and user permissions

It’s a hands-on role that would be ideal for someone who wants to get involved, shape a growing climate-tech product, and make a real impact in the clean energy space. You won’t be starting from scratch, we have a working MVP and live user feedback. We’re now focused on improving usability, trust, and speed as we scale.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you’re:

• Familiar with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap (or eager to learn fast)

• Curious about SaaS, climate tech, or blockchain

• Detail-oriented and proactive—comfortable in a startup environment

• Bonus if you’ve worked with APIs, EACs, or data dashboards before

• Passionate about sustainability and product innovation

Preferred Skills & Qualities:

• Basic understanding of product development or software engineering principles.

• Familiarity with web development basics (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap). 

• Curiosity about blockchain technology and SaaS platforms.

• Team-oriented and eager to work collaboratively.

• Familiarity with energy markets, traceability, or sustainability platforms

• Experience with API integrations or automating data pipelines

• Previous work in an early-stage SaaS startup
