ESEBA is a deep tech startup from DTU developing a new kind of MDF board made entirely from 100% low quality textile waste, without any binders like formaldehyde, or stabilizers.
Recognized as one of Denmark’s top 10 climate startups, ESEBA partners with a state-of-the-art textile sorting facility and is piloting its solution with two of the country’s largest laminated tabletop manufacturers.
We’ve made strong progress, and now we’re looking for a Materials Scientist to help us take the material and process to the next level by addressing key development goals, including:
Scaling up lab tests to produce boards at commercial dimensions
Characterizing mechanical properties and performance
You’ll play a key role in:
Designing and running experiments on our pilot production line
Developing the material to meet industrial lamination standards
Collaborating closely with our CTO and CRO on process and material innovation
Who you are:
You have a background in materials science or a related field
You have experience with fibers, composites, or engineered board materials
You work systematically, are curious, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
