About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Legal to lead our compliance and legal function. As a small company with a big vision, we need someone who is both strategic and hands-on; a legal generalist with a commercial mindset who thrives on autonomy, variety and impact.
Reporting to the CFO, you will work closely with the senior leadership team across the entire business, supporting a broad range of legal, regulatory and compliance topics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to have a significant impact on the business, but also with a willingness to take on any task, big or small.
Key Responsibilities
Contracts: Lead the negotiation of contractual arrangements with customers and partners across multiple jurisdictions. Take full ownership of stakeholder and contract management to ensure consistency and success in our contractual arrangements.
Legal & Regulatory: Define and manage our legal strategy to be aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements. Ensure regulation compliance in commercial agreements and company registrations.
GDPR, DORA & Data Privacy: Take full ownership of GDPR and DORA compliance activities.
Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Engagement: Ensure ongoing compliance with Danish law and support commercial contract governance activities. Liaise with authorities in Denmark and beyond on business and licensing matters.
Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop pragmatic solutions in collaboration with product, operations and commercial teams.
Management Team Support: Be a trusted partner in all legal areas in support of the Management team to support decision making.

Requirements
University law degree with specialisation in business, finance/economics or comparable.
Several years of experience in roles focusing on business and contract law, ideally in the private sector or as part of a law firm. Experience in the digital technology space is a plus.
Notable experience with:
Commercial SaaS contracts
Data protection (GDPR) & Financial regulation (including DORA)
Danish and EU company law
Employment law
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English – Danish language is an advantage but not a requirement.
Comfortable working across all legal domains and wearing multiple hats with an interest in process set-up and improvement.
Ability to operate in a fast moving and demanding environment where no two days are the same.
Willingness to engage with colleagues in all departments and take on any task, big or small.
Ability to take full ownership of abstract tasks and see them to the finish line.
Able to work from our Aalborg office 1-2 days per week.
