We are seeking a skilled Senior Vision Engineer with strong AI expertise to help us advance our cutting-edge AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) software platforms. At Nordbo Robotics, we empower manufacturers with intuitive, no-code solutions for surface inspection and quality control.

What you’ll do:

• Further develop our AOI platforms:

  • One for annotation and training of deep learning models for surface defect detection

  • Another for running trained models on edge devices in production environments to capture and classify artifacts

• Improve current methods to enhance performance on challenging industrial images and environments

• Collaborate with research institutes to test and integrate new AI technologies and approaches into our platforms

• Implement and optimize AI models using PyTorch, Detectron2, and related frameworks

• Develop and maintain vision pipelines in C++ and Python on Linux platforms

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into our no-code robotics platforms

What you’ll bring:

• Strong background in computer vision and deep learning, with practical experience deploying AI models in production

• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a solid grasp of Linux development

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Detectron2, or similar frameworks

• Knowledge of edge deployment and optimizing models for real-world, industrial use cases

• Experience collaborating with research partners or integrating emerging AI technologies is a plus
