We’re looking for an English-speaking Sales Development Representative to join our pre-seed startup in Helsinki! 

We're building Operating.app, a resource planning, time tracking, and business management tool for consulting firms. We've proven that the product is attractive both on our home turf of Finland and also internationally, with the most of our customers from all around the world (🇺🇸, 🇨🇦, 🇩🇪, 🇳🇱, 🇬🇧 ...) with low churn and great reviews.

We've recently added a lot of new customers and secured more funding, so we're looking to ramp up our sales efforts.

You’ll play a key role in driving outbound sales – identifying and reaching out to top consulting firms, and professional services companies. Your goal in this role is to open doors, start conversations with senior decision-makers, and book high-value meetings. Contacting is done with email, Linkedin, and over the phone.

As with anyone joining the company at such an early stage, there is a ton of responsibility to be given if you're up to the task!


Requirements

  • You're based in Helsinki: We want to be able to work with you in person, at least occasionally.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken): You'll be calling and emailing prospects in the U.S.

  • You enjoy picking up the phone and making outbound calls: Your pay depends partially on how many calls you make.

  • You're flexible with working hours: Our customers are in North America, so the schedule will be something else than 9-to-5.

  • Previous sales experience is a plus: It doesn’t have to be in tech, SaaS, or consulting, but that's a big plus!

  • You're a driven and goal-oriented person: We love hitting our targets and exceeding them. You should, too!


Responsibilities

  • Outbound prospecting – Identifying companies that match our ideal customer profile and reaching out to them. You get to use state-of-the-art technology to do this.

  • Engaging with senior decision-makers – Building relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.

  • Booking high-value meetings – Using phone, email, and LinkedIn to open doors and create new sales opportunities. Over time, you figure out which companies are high-value.

  • Collaborating with the rest of the team – The product team is listening carefully to what prospective customers are saying.


Compensation

  • This is a well-paid position, assuming that you're able to keep the process running and get good results, improving over time.

  • The salary will be a combination of base rate and variable compensation.

  • The variable is based on

    • Amount of outreach done with different channels (calls, emails, etc) – more activities more pay

    • Amount of booked meetings – more results more pay

    • Amount of revenue from the customers that you introduced – total alignment with our revenue growth
