Your contribution as Team Lead for the Emergency Worker Assistant (EWA) to our global team will be crucial in shaping the future of Emergency Services. EWA is the tool used daily by all Norwegian ambulance workers to manage patient information.
The ideal candidate has a strong proven track record in leading technical developer teams. You should be familiar with a variety of tools, frameworks and coding languages. You should have knowledge about modern infrastructure (Kubernetes) and containerization. Additionally, you should be able to communicate complex problems and translate needs to both business and junior employees. You should also be able to demonstrate previous work through a portfolio (e.g., GitHub) or references.
Lead a cross-functional team with backend, frontend and QA specialists.
Manage daily work and competing requests, aligning priorities with product strategy.
Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance.
Contribute to code reviews, and design discussions.
Improve code quality, testing processes, and output.
Collaborate with product managers and designers.
Value and ensure good documentation and knowledge sharing practices within the team.
Help grow the team through recruitment and onboarding.
Proven leadership experience.
Solid software development background — ideally full-stack.
Strong grasp of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React Native) and backend technologies (e.g., C#, .NET, Python).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Orange Cloud) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with DevOps and cross-platform development (e.g., Octopus Deploy, Rancher, Træfik, ArgoCD).
Clear, empathetic communication — both with developers and non-technical stakeholders.
Pragmatic decision-making and ability to navigate ambiguity.
Should be able to be security cleared (in Norway).
Have at least 3 years of experience leading teams.
Have a MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a similar field.
Be fluent in Norwegian and English.
Experience in emergency services, healthcare, or other high-reliability environments is nice-to-have.
The ideal candidate should be able to work from Oslo (NO) or Grimstad (NO). Hybrid options can be discussed.
