Fluidan is seeking a talented and ambitious software developer, who can support integration of the RheoStream® instruments at customers’ factory control systems and finalize our IoT implementation.
As our Software developer, you will from day one be a key member of the Fluidan team with responsibility for designing and developing the platform of the instrument software, firmware and interfaces.
You will work in close collaboration with our Instrument Developer (mechanics), our Application Specialists and Sales teams, and you will also be responsible for driving the factory integration at customers worldwide.
The workplace is at DTU Science Park in Kgs. Lyngby, Copenhagen.
You will travel internationally, 10-30 days per year, to client sites to facilitate technological integration (mostly on trips of a few days).
Your main tasks include:
Further development of the instrument management software – current and future versions:
Programming in C++, running on an embedded Linux device.
Interfacing with external environments (Management PC, SCADA, PLC, etc.)
Testing in a laboratory environment and on a “real life” RheoStream® instrument.
Security (instrument, company and customers access rights and security measures).
Developing and implementing a secure instrument access portal.
Expanding our cloud & IoT security.
Factory integration at customers
Implementing communication interfaces (e.g. OPC-UA, Profibus, Modbus, PLC, etc.)
Remote or on-site collaboration with customer automation staff
You preferably hold a (Masters) degree (automation, engineering or IT), and/or you may have some years of professional experience in programming within a commercial environment.
Competence of the preferred candidate
Skills
Experienced using Linux
Confident working in the terminal and over ssh.
Confident in C++11
Knowledge of CMake, and the Conan package manager is a benefit.
Familiarity with the “Boost” and “JSON for Modern C++ (nlohmann)” libraries is a benefit.
Bash / Shell scripting
Confident with networking, and knowledge of related tools
Able to set a static IP and a DHCP on a network
Experienced using GIT for version control, and familiarity with using GitHub is a bonus.
Knowledge of Factory Automation systems, preferably Profibus & ProfNet
Familiar with the usage and operation of PLCs.
