Your key responsibilities:

Technical Strategy & Leadership (40%)

• Own and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Lead and monitor a high-performing engineering team (currently 7 engineers).

• Define and align technical strategy with product goals in collaboration with the CPO.

• Optimize and simplify systems to handle high growth and scalability.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, AI, product, and client-facing teams.

Hands-on Engineering & Development (30%)

• Stay hands-on (~30-40% coding) to unblock the team and lead by example.

• Drive technical excellence through design reviews, high-quality code, and best practices.

• Ensure reliability and scalability with strong testing strategies and automation.

• Maintain clear technical documentation (RFCs, ADRs) to support decision-making.

Cloud Infrastructure & Security (15%)

• Oversee Google Cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.

• Lead and implement the company's security roadmap, continuously improving protocols.

• Play a key role in the Information Security Committee, shaping security policies and compliance.

Data-Driven Decision-Making (15%)

• Establish and monitor system KPIs, providing actionable insights for performance optimization.

• Support product development with technical discoveries and strategic recommendations.

• Ensure compliance in collaboration with legal and security teams for smooth operations.

What we're looking for:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degrees are a plus).

• 8-10+ years in technical roles, including 5+ years in engineering leadership (Head/Director level).

• Proven track record in scaling tech teams within AI, SaaS, or data-driven B2B companies.

• Strong technical strategy execution, balancing long-term vision with short-term goals.

• Proficiency in our tech stack - Python, Django, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, and GCP (expertise in front-end or back-end is a plus).

• Hands on leader: strong architectural expertise with the ability to code and mentor teams.

• Experience with DevOps, cloud-native infrastructure, and modern software practices.

• Passion for simplifying complex systems into scalable, modular components.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, fostering innovation and collaboration.

• Product mindset - able to align engineering decisions with customer impact.

• SaaS scaling experience - designing for high-volume, high-growth environments.

• AI Knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory.
