Join nabo as a Local Community Ambassador Intern (3–6 months, Remote)

nabo is a remote startup based in Denmark that supports the well-being of internationals and Danes living in Denmark by building warm, welcoming communities rooted in belonging. We help people feel at home offering practical guidance, cultural exchange, and social connection through events, storytelling, and local partnerships.
As a growing platform, we are currently operating on Mighty Networks and actively engaging our community on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
We are seeking enthusiastic, social impact-oriented Local Community Ambassadors to help us expand nabo into new cities across Denmark. This remote internship is ideal for someone passionate about building inclusive communities, bringing people together, and sharing the mission of nabo through creative outreach and local engagement.
As a nabo Community Ambassador, you’ll serve as the connector and champion for your local area. You’ll help energize a local group of nabo members by organizing events, engaging potential partners, and spreading the word in your networks.
Act as a visible and welcoming representative of nabo in your city.
Organize and host small community events (e.g., potluck dinners, walks, or cultural exchanges).
Identify and support local volunteers who want to host nabo events.
Create excitement about nabo by sharing it with relevant networks, social groups, and online communities.
Reach out to potential local partners (community centers, cafes, cultural organizations, etc.) for collaboration.
Share feedback and ideas from your community with the nabo team to help shape future initiatives.
Attend weekly virtual team meetings and submit short activity updates.
A strong desire to build inclusive, welcoming communities.
Confidence in engaging with diverse individuals and community groups.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience with (or interest in) event planning, outreach, or community organizing.
Ability to work independently, with support from the nabo team.
Familiarity with the local international community is a plus.
Passion for the values of belonging, connection, and cultural exchange.
Real-world experience in community engagement, outreach, and grassroots organizing.
Mentorship and support from nabo’s core team.
Recognition on our website and social media.
A letter of recommendation or reference upon successful completion.

Duration: 3–6 months (flexible start date)
Location: Remote (in Denmark)
Working hours: 15–37 hours/week depending on your availability
Language: English (Danish is a plus, but not required)
