We are looking for a thoughtful and enthusiastic Digital Community Builder Intern to help activate and grow our online community. In this role, you’ll help cultivate a positive and inclusive environment for members of nabo, encouraging participation, sparking meaningful conversations, and making sure every voice feels valued. Your work will help internationals and Danes alike feel a sense of belonging in our shared digital neighborhood.
Welcome new members to the platform with personalized messages and introductions.
Facilitate discussions and group activities aligned with monthly themes (e.g., cultural exchange, well-being, belonging).
Monitor platform activity and respond to posts with encouragement, warmth, and insight.
Curate or create thoughtful prompts, questions, or content that sparks engagement.
Identify and elevate community members who could become hosts or contributors.
Collaborate with the nabo team to test new features or content formats.
Share feedback on what’s working and suggest improvements to increase connection and participation.
A passion for creating warm, inclusive spaces that make people feel seen and valued.
Experience moderating or building online communities (e.g., Discord, Slack, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, forums).
Strong communication skills written and interpersonal with an uplifting tone.
Cultural sensitivity and openness to diverse experiences and identities.
A proactive and reliable approach to independent work, with strong attention to detail.
Interest in themes of integration, cultural exchange, mental wellbeing, or social belonging.
Familiarity with digital community tools and platforms is a plus.
Real-world experience in community management, digital engagement, and platform-building.
Mentorship and direct collaboration with nabo’s core team.
Recognition on our website and professional platforms.
A letter of recommendation or reference upon successful completion.

Duration: 3–6 months (flexible start date)
Location: Remote (in Denmark)
Working hours: 15–37 hours/week depending on your availability
Language: English (Danish is a plus, but not required)
