The world needs to increase the amount of renewable energy to battle climate change. Glint Solar is an Oslo-based startup accelerating the growth of solar energy by making it fast and simple to find the best solar project locations. Glint Solar was founded in 2020 with the mission of accelerating the adoption of solar energy across the globe. Today we are counting 40+ employees, an increasing number of customers from all over the world, and we have exciting times ahead. We are scaling!

We are now looking for a Senior Designer. You will be an integral part of our product team, working closely with cross-functional teams to create and enhance products that delight our customers.

About the role
We will define and evolve the role together, but some important aspects are:

Customer-Centric Product Design
Ideate, sketch, test, iterate, and launch features and product improvements that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Design System
Take ownership of, and help develop and improve Glint Solar’s fledgling design system.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with other designers and engineers to ensure cohesive product development. Together, we will utilize our experience, data and customer feedback to inform product decisions and prioritize features that enhance user experience and engagement.

About you
We are looking for a designer with a friendly, demeanor, positive attitude, and experience building digital products. We think you have been working as a designer for 5 years or more. It’s not important what your title is today (UI, Product, UX, etc), but you should be ok with wearing multiple hats and doing what needs to be done – always with the big picture in mind.

You know to put the product, and as a result the user, first, and enjoy both zooming in to interactions and details, and zooming out to flows and systems. You’re a supportive colleague who is aware that happy people who have fun make good things happen. You like solving problems big and small, and enjoy iterating on your designs over time with your team.

It’s a plus if you are especially skilled in some of these, but it’s good to know a bit about most of them:
- Product Design
- UI
- Visual Design
- Interaction Design
- Overall UX
- Accessibility
