We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (A/P) Accountant to join our team. The Role

As an A/P Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will report to our Senior Finance Manager and be an integral part of our Finance team. While this role does not currently include team management, you will take full ownership of the A/P function, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain efficient financial operations.
To ensure a seamless onboarding, you will spend the first three weeks at our headquarters in Copenhagen, followed by biannual travel to HQ for ongoing alignment and collaboration.

Here are some of your core responsibilities
  • Own and manage the A/P process: Handle invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Monitor cash outflows: Work closely with the finance team to manage payment schedules and optimise cash flow.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Partner with procurement, operations, and finance teams to streamline A/P processes.
  • Identify process improvements: Suggest and implement automation or efficiency improvements in the A/P function.
  • Support audits: Assist in preparing documentation and responding to audit requests related to accounts payable.
To do this, we imagine you to have the following experience
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and A/P best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central / Continia is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
