It’s a fast-moving, collaborative environment where everyone is welcome and everyone’s opinion matters. Whether you're shaping the future of online retail, tackling complex logistical problems, or making everyday life better for our customers, your work will have a real impact. Read on to find out what part you could play in our story.

We’re looking for a Driver Academy Manager to join Oda!

As the Driver Academy Manager you are involved in coordinating, managing, and enhancing the onboarding and driver training program, ensuring drivers possess the necessary skills. It includes proactive collaboration with various stakeholders to improve training and delivery processes and continuous advocacy for delivery operations improvement. Your responsibilities also encompass planning and executing new driver onboarding, evolving training programs, and ensuring knowledge sharing within the global operations.

What we offer 🚀

This is your chance to make a real impact as a Driver Academy Manager in a fast-moving company with a product people love - while shaking up the grocery industry. You’ll experience:

  • Teammates who aim high and have each other’s backs. We care about people, and that means supporting each other every step of the way.

  • A flat structure where we team up across disciplines to solve exciting challenges. Big ideas come from everywhere!

  • A transparent way of working. We use Slack to stay in the loop - less email, fewer meetings, more getting things done.

  • A buzzing office at Tøyen, with lunch made by our very own chefs. 🧑‍🍳

  • A collaborative approach - we tackle exciting tech and product challenges together, across different fields.

  • A chance to shape the future of grocery shopping while building a company that’s here to stay.

What you’ll be doing as Driver Academy Manager

  • Coordinate, manage, and improve our existing onboarding and driver training program.

  • Proactively identify and improve training and delivery processes.

  • Take full responsibility for planning and executing the onboarding of our new drivers:
    • Arrange weekly theory classes

    • Access to the Learning management system for the new joiners

    • Arrange on-road practical training

    • Inform all stakeholders to ensure training finishes as planned

    • Coordinate to arrange building entrance access for the drivers

    • Assist in arranging uniforms for the new drivers as required.

    • Arrange access to the tech tools, in use by our drivers, to ensure they start their work without issues.

  • Continue evolving our training program and onboarding routines
    • Provide advice, knowledge, and guidance about delivery processes to improve existing training modules in our Learning management system “Axonify”.

    • Improve low-performing areas through standardization

    • Hold workshops with our on-road driver trainers to teach them standard routines

  • Ensure enough capacity to hold theory classes and on-road practical training as per needs.

  • Ensure that we actively share learning and opinions with the global operations.

What you’ll need to succeed 🌟

  • Education in Logistics, Economics, Management, or similar or relevant experience that can compensate for lacking education.

  • Experience working with logistics or passion about continuous improvement processes with a strong interest in last-mile delivery.

  • Experience structured process development and project management.

  • Understanding of dynamics to improve variable delivery costs.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and work in a team environment.

  • Speak and write fluently in English and Norwegian.

What would be nice to have 💡

  • Being highly structured, ensuring that tasks and projects are completed.

  • Being curious, quick, and a lifelong learner with a growth mindset who enjoys sharing learnings with colleagues.

  • Having a strong sense of ownership of the business.

  • Enjoying working independently while seeing the whole picture.

  • Willingness to visit multiple sites on a weekly basis and to travel abroad a few times a year, e.g. visiting Mathem in Stockholm.

Working at
Oda

Oda is the leading online grocery retailer in Norway, but as a company, we’re first and foremost an ambitious tech and logistics company - not a classic retailer. We’re one of the fastest-growing startups in the Nordics, working with huge, complex challenges to make the lives of our customers simpler and easier. Want to join us? Our goal is to create the world's most efficient retail system. Through smart work, passionate customer focus and our own technology we make a difference in the lives of thousands of customers and change society for the better through a completely re-imagined value chain for grocery shopping. Our customers save more than 60 hours a year, time we believe can be better spent than going to the store. Our effective value chain and logistics save society tonnes of food waste each year and our distribution network replace almost 13,000 individual trips by car to the grocery store each year.
