The Role: Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer at Alwy, you won't just be writing code; you'll be a foundational member of our team, playing a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core systems that power our platform. You'll have the chance to work with a modern tech stack and contribute directly to a product that's already making an impact on the financial world. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role with significant growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Build: Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.

• Event-Driven Systems: Manage and develop systems that support event-driven architectures, leveraging technologies like RabbitMQ.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services to build, deploy, and scale our platform securely and efficiently.

• API Development: Develop and maintain robust and well-documented API protocols, including REST and GraphQL

• Containerization: Utilize Docker to containerize applications for consistent and streamlined deployment.

• Architectural Design: Collaborate with the team to design and implement a layered architecture that is both robust and maintainable for a small, growing development team.

• Security First: Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive financial data – a top priority for us.

Requirements:

• Proven Experience:

  Demonstrable experience as a Backend Developer, with strong proficiency in:

  • Node.js,

  • TypeScript

  • PostgreSQL

  • RabbitMQ,

  • AWS (experience with specific services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS is a plus)

  • RESTful API design

  • GraphQL

  • Docker

• Layered Architecture: Solid understanding and experience with layered architecture design principles.

• Problem Solver: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
