Who is SKJOLDET?

SKJOLDET is a startup that has created a cybersecurity ecosystem protecting both individuals and businesses against digital and financial fraud. We are on a mission to create a safer digital environment for everyone reducing cybercrime.

Your role?

Your main role will be integrating, building and maintaining SKJOLDETs fraud data platform, in addition you will also be a part of designing the cybersecurity ecosystem we are building. You will be responsible for data visualization as well as creating new insights based on customer requests. The path from development to execution is short. This also means you will have a direct say in shaping processes and the decisions we make at SKJOLDET.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

You’re skilled at programming
You’re eager to grow and motivated by not just building tech but revolutionize a whole industry
You’re comfortable learning new technologies
You can work independently and bring in new ideas
Fluent in English and/or Danish (written & spoken)
You’re at the end of your bachelor’s or start of your master’s degree

Experience preferred (but not requirement):

Javascript/TypeScript
Python
Node.js
NoSQL

Bonus if you have experience or interest in:

Working with visualizing data, specially data processing

This is made possible through a proactive AI-powered browser extension that alerts users in real-time of fraudulent websites, that collects real-time actionable fraud intelligence for businesses. In just 6 months, SKJOLDET has attracted over 12,000 users, demonstrating significant demand for accessible and intelligent cybersecurity solutions. Phishing has become the largest cybercrime across the globe affecting both individuals and companies. In Denmark, 200,000 people are defrauded annually, costing over 1 billion DKK for both private individuals and financial institutions, as well as the loss of image and business for companies being used in scam. Furthermore, phishing accounts for more than 90% of cybersecurity breaches worldwide, making it an easy point of entry for larger attacks. Digital fraud and phishing have become easier through artificial intelligence and pre-made kits that break down language barriers and exploit humans through social engineering techniques that defraud victims regardless of age and technical knowledge. Social engineering also called “hacking the human” is a crucial part of the criminals’ techniques that lures users into divulge information. Central is influence, persuasion and use of authorities. A scam number takes an average of 45 seconds, where many often do not have time to stop and check for signs of fraud due to a busy everyday life when taking advantage of stressful periods. Likewise, current companies’ fraud detection methods fail to detect fraud proactively, because it is hidden behind multiple links, barriers and special domains making it hard to scrape the internet because websites change constantly. SKJOLDET is an AI- and algorithm-based browser extension that proactively protects individuals and businesses against online fraud, such as phishing attacks, fraudulent webshops, and fake competitions. By detecting and warning users about malicious websites in real-time, even before they are known scams, SKJOLDET enables safe online navigation across all devices and browsers. We focus on continuously improving our AI-driven technology to stay one step ahead of evolving cyber threats. SKJOLDET ensures cybersecurity is simple, proactive, and accessible to everyone, regardless of age, technical expertise, or financial resources.
