Join Us in Revolutionizing District Heating Inspections!

Are you passionate about robotics, automation, and developing real-world solutions? We are a DTU-based startup building a cutting-edge predictive maintenance solution for district heating systems. Our technology enables in-pipe condition assessments using advanced probe technology and data analytics, providing leak detection and maintenance insights without excavation or operational interruptions.

We are looking for a technical co-founder to lead the development of robotics and mechatronics and help shape the future of non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions for district heating infrastructure.

Your Role

  • Design and develop a robotic system capable of navigating and performing inspections inside district heating pipes.

  • Research and adapt existing robotic technologies for confined-space environments.

  • Lead prototyping, testing, and refining the system for functionality and durability.

  • Oversee or assist with the integration of hardware and software components.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a scalable and market-ready solution.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Expertise

  • Background in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design.

  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).

  • Knowledge of pipe inspection systems or robotics for confined spaces is a plus.

Programming Skills

  • Experience in Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System).

  • Understanding control systems, computer vision, or machine learning is an advantage.

Collaboration & Practical Experience

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in uncertain environments.

  • Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, or industrial production systems.

  • Familiarity with materials testing for extreme conditions.

Ideal Background

  • Previous experience in startups, industrial robotics, or pipe inspection technologies.

  • Familiarity with the district heating industry or related infrastructure systems.

What we offer

An exciting opportunity to work in an innovative startup and fill the role of a technical co-founder.

You'll gain access to technical mentors, advanced machinery, and industry expertise through a startup incubator. Work from DTU Skylab (Lyngby) or MADE Manufacturers (Copenhagen V), collaborating closely with our CEO, Liza, in a hands-on, impact-driven environment.

Working at
CETO Innovation

CETO Innovation is developing a predictive maintenance solution for district heating networks, combining an in-pipe probe with data-driven failure predictions. Our technology enables early detection of pipeline issues, reducing downtime, maintenance costs, and energy waste while optimizing infrastructure management. We are addressing the challenges of aging district heating infrastructure, where reactive maintenance leads to inefficiencies and unexpected failures. By integrating real-time data analysis with in-pipe diagnostics, we aim to provide a smarter, more sustainable approach to pipeline management.
