Join Our Team: Startup Programs Manager (Full-Time, 40 hours/week)

Maria 01 is one of Europe’s leading startup ecosystems, providing a thriving environment for almost 250 ambitious early-stage startups, renowned investors and VCs, large enterprises and other ecosystem organisations. Maria 01 is located in the old Maria Hospital in Helsinki, Finland. Maria 01 is owned by the Startup Foundation, the Helsinki Enterprise Agency, and the City of Helsinki.

During its eight-year history, Maria 01’s member startups have raised over €1 billion in funding. Since 2016, Maria 01 has grown into one of Europe’s leading startup communities, with its member and alumni companies securing approximately 40% of all early-stage (VC) investments raised by Finnish startups annually.


Position Overview

We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Startup Programs Manager to join our team full-time. In this role, you will take ownership of our new international accelerator program, designing its concept, managing operations, and ensuring its success. Additionally, you will oversee and develop other new programs, including our mentorship program and internal accelerators.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Accelerator Program: Design, launch, and run Maria 01’s new international accelerator, ensuring it provides top-tier support for participating startups.

  • Develop new programs: Take ownership of Maria 01’s growing portfolio of startup support programs, including mentorship initiatives and internal accelerators.

  • Engage with startups & experts: Build strong relationships with founders, investors, and industry experts to provide the best possible support to participating companies.

  • Drive program operations: Manage program logistics, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure smooth execution of all initiatives.

  • Measure & improve impact: Track key success metrics and continuously iterate on program design to maximize value for startups.

  • Collaborate across the ecosystem: Work closely with partners, investors, and ecosystem players to enhance program offerings and ensure alignment with market needs.

  • Program builder: You’re excited about creating and running programs from scratch, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.

  • Connector & community-driven: You thrive in building relationships and engaging with a wide network of founders, investors, and industry experts.

  • Organized & results-oriented: You have experience managing multiple projects, ensuring smooth execution and measurable outcomes.

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset: You take initiative, learn quickly, and continuously look for ways to improve.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in program management, startup support, accelerators, venture building, or a related field.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Finnish is not necessary.
