YOUR MISSION AT VOI
Reporting to the Country Manager, the Senior Market Development Manager, will build and develop highly effective, trusted and resilient relationships with local decision makers, authorities and other relevant associations. These relationships are critical to cementing and growing Voi’s position as the leading responsible operator in safety, sustainability, accessibility and inclusivity.
The next few years will be an exciting time at Voi due to our expansion in the Italian market and the growing interest from towns and cities looking to introduce and develop shared e-bikes and e-scooter schemes of their own. We are keen that they choose Voi as the leading provider and the senior Market Development Manager will play an integral part in this work. Additionally, this person will be responsible for and perform other tasks such as:
- Support Voi’s market development activities by engaging cities on the opportunities of shared micromobility including e-bikes and e-scooters
- Set up and manage partnerships with the local ecosystem (associations, other companies etc.)
- Set up and coordinate events on the field related to eg. safety, our riders etc., as well as participating in local exhibitions
- Provide regular reports to cities
- Represent Voi in stakeholder meetings, acting as a key relationship holder for Italian towns and cities considering their transport options
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential opportunities
- Analyse industry trends, competitor activity and city needs
- Administer effective information management and knowledge sharing
- Develop and execute pitch decks and supporting material
- Support pre-tender engagement, tender bids and written submissions for the Italian team
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO EMBARK
At Voi, you’ll come across new opportunities regularly. We’re operating in uncharted territory. Having proven previous experience and a record of problem-solving will prove valuable along the way.
Required
- 5+ years of experience working in close, regular contact with a range of stakeholders, and managing those relationships
- Experience in close engagement with elected councillors and politicians and their officers, membership and advocacy organisations
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills; you will be able to confidently and persuasively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, adapting your messaging for your audience
- A proven history of achieving good outcomes when dealing with challenging audiences and stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, and the ability to juggle a range of different tasks and responsibilities
Desired
- Demonstrable interest in the transport sector and an understanding of transport infrastructure as it relates to governance in Italy
- Demonstrable interest in sustainability issues e.g. net zero targets
- Experience working with road safety bodies and / or organisations representing all road users e.g. pedestrians
- Experience working with journalists and the media
- Project management experience
- An established network of relevant contacts
