Momio is a small tech company that operates the social media platform by the same name. It has a central office in the heart of Copenhagen, and employees working remotely from all around the world. At Momio we focus on creating free, playful and safe environments that educate kids in online behavior. 

Our mission is to give kids a great first social media experience, surrounding them with good friends in a free, playful and safe environment. Momio is developed as a mobile-first product and is live in the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Poland & Germany. 

About the job:

Together with our team of Trust and safety Agents, you will make sure that Momio is safe and fun for our users in Germany. The job is perfect for a student.

Your main responsibility will be:

• Keeping our users safe by working with Momio’s safety system and processes.

• Work in a team with Trust and Safety Agents engaging kids to have good online behaviour.

• Translating short texts from English to German from time to time.

• Manage and engage a team of voluntary in-game moderators.

Most weeks you will work 3-5 hours and you will be able to work from home. You are expected to be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays too. It’s important that you are flexible even with short notice.

About you:

You are interested in social media, and share our belief that children have the right to participate in online communities on their own terms. These qualities are more important than your previous work experience, but it will be an advantage if you have worked with customer service or children.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in German on a native level. You’re also fluent in English. You have to be 18 years or older to apply for this job.

Other experience and requirements:

• Knowledge of and interest in online child safety, ethics, moderation, and online communities.

• Critical thinking skills to understand and summarize complex issues quickly.

• Structured and independent working manner, with great overview and control over deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Passion for helping people.

• Belief in Momio’s vision of creating the best and safest first social media experience for kids.
