Unity UI Developer Intern – Icy Games Studios

We are looking for a Unity UI Developer Intern to help bring our game interfaces to life. If you have a strong interest in UI development, love working with Unity, and want to gain hands-on experience in game development, this is the perfect opportunity for you!  

 Position Overview  

As a Unity UI Developer Intern, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing user interfaces in our games. Working closely with designers and developers, you will help create smooth, interactive, and visually appealing UI elements that enhance the player experience.  

 Key Responsibilities  

• Implement UI Components – Develop and integrate menus, HUDs, buttons, and interactive elements using Unity UI Toolkit and Canvas.  

• Optimize UI Performance – Ensure responsive and efficient UI for different screen sizes and platforms (PC, mobile, console).  

• Collaborate with Designers – Work with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional game UI.  

• Animate and Polish UI – Implement UI animations, transitions, and effects for an engaging user experience.  

• Debug and Fix UI Issues – Identify and resolve UI-related bugs and inconsistencies.  

• Ensure Accessibility and Usability – Follow best practices to make UI intuitive and user-friendly.  

• Stay Updated – Keep up with the latest Unity UI frameworks and trends to improve development processes.  

 Qualifications  

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.  

• Experience with Unity UI Toolkit, Canvas, and C scripting.  

• Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices in game development.  

• Basic knowledge of responsive design and handling different resolutions.  

• Passion for creating polished and immersive user interfaces.  

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.  

 Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus)  

• Experience with UI animation using Unity Animator or Tweening libraries.  

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).  

• Understanding of shader effects for UI elements.  

• Experience with mobile UI implementation (iOS/Android).
