Are you an expert in German banking law? Then keep reading, because we are looking for a proactive and experienced Mid-Level Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will take the lead on key legal areas while supporting various departments and initiatives within the Ageras group. You will join a team composed of a junior legal officer, a DPO, and reporting to the Director of legal & privacy group.

- Collaboration with Key Teams: Work closely with compliance and product teams, providing strategic legal input and influencing company success.
What will you be doing?
- Manage complex banking law matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks over 4 countries, hand in hand with the compliance team.
- Provide legal support and advice on banking-related issues across teams for all entities of the group.
- Draft and review Terms of Service (TOS) for new and existing products.
- Advise on competition law, consumer law, promotions, and regulatory requirements related to product development.
- Work closely with the compliance team to support licensing efforts and regulatory adherence (legal aspects only).
- Provide legal support in litigation matters, ensuring efficient case management and resolution.
- Review and negotiate German contracts to ensure compliance with local laws.
- Draft and negotiate banking-related contracts, safeguarding organizational interests.
Qualifications
- Legal qualification with 3-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong expertise in banking law and product compliance.
- Proficiency in German legal contracts and a deep understanding of local legal frameworks
- Experience supporting product teams and litigation processes.
- Nice to have: Experience in a start-up/scale-up environment and knowledge of Danish law.
