With a team of creative professionals, who create world class esports events all over the world, we’re expanding into new markets.

Our very lovely Business Partner, who is supporting this growth and our wonderful people, is going on maternity leave soon and we are therefore looking for a one year mat cover to help support our growth. Our new colleague will work from our amazing office in the centre of London and the role will be instrumental in ensuring our day-to-day people operations align with our business goals and needs and fostering a positive workplace culture. 

Role Overview:

You’ll work closely with the rest of our People & Culture Team, based in Denmark, helping to shape and maintain the employee experience and to support our ongoing expansion. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is eager to roll up their sleeves, and has a passion for supporting people at every level of an organisation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a business partner or similar role
  • A good understanding and level of experience within recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, DE&I and collaborating with hiring managers to meet workforce needs
  • A strong understanding and experience of UK employment law, with the ability to provide guidance on compliance and best practices
  • Proven experience working in a fast-growing company, scale-up or similar dynamic environment
  • Hands-on experience with the entire People Experience, such as onboarding, employee relations, recruitment and performance management, payroll
  • Ability to balance and prioritise day-to-day operational tasks 
  • Ability to translate overall strategy, purpose and values into our ways of working
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with employees at all levels
  • A proactive and flexible mindset with the ability to oversee multiple priorities and adapt to change
  • A strong culture carrier with ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support:

  • Act as the go-to person for employees on people puzzles and guidance on policies, benefits, and day-to-day queries
  • Support people managers and employees with performance discussions, team development, engagement and conflict resolution
  • Help drive and manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new joiners and leavers
  • Payroll- collating all payroll data and ensuring all changes are correctly captured, share with our payroll team and validate 

Employment Law and Compliance:

  • Provide expertise on UK employment law and ensure HR  practices and company policies adhere to local regulations
  • Help support expansion in collaboration with the P&C team and departments

Culture & Engagement:

  • Work closely with the organisation to maintain and enhance our company culture across locations
  • Help implement initiatives that promote employee engagement, company values, well-being, and retention
  • Contribute to the delivery of key People and Culture projects, including those focused on employee development, feedback culture, and career progression
  • Support DE&I initiatives, ensuring our workplace is inclusive and reflective of the diverse markets we operate in

Talent & Development:

  • Partner with managers to help identify training needs and support career development for employees
  • Assist in the implementation of performance management processes and tools
