Are you a natural handyperson? We are looking for a social and initiative-taking person to join our Facilities team. We hope you are a curious fast-learner who communicates fluently in English and thrives in the fast-phased startup world.
As a Facilities Specialist, you will be working closely together with the Head of Facilities to ensure we can provide our community with a great campus in which to grow and thrive. This role is broad and encompasses everything from planning future space renovations to doing daily maintenance tasks.
This role does not require extensive experience or education in renovating, maintenance or facility operations, but you need to have some experience in them. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner with basic proficiency in maintenance and renovations.
You will be reporting to our Head of Facilities.
Campus general area and private office facility maintenance duties and fixing
For example:
Wall touch-ups
Painting
Basic surface renovations
Floor carpet installation
Assembling and moving office furniture
Small construction tasks such as building a conference booth
etc.
Planning bigger outsourced renovations and maintenance together with the Head of Facilities
Assisting with events setups
Coordinating and supervising external facilities-related services together with the Head of Facilities
Other projects agreed with the Head of Facilities
Managing campus furniture and equipment
Providing ad-hoc assistance for our campus members and handling the maintenance ticketing system
Admin work to be done on the computer
Daily presence at the Campus on Mon-Fri (public holidays excluded)
Interest in facility maintenance and repairs, startups, and community building
Natural handyperson
Passionate about handcrafts and good general ability to do light renovations
A social person with the ability to do teamwork within their own team and across different teams
Proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude
Good communication skills in English
Accurate and structured with an eye for detail
A mindset and willingness to grow and learn
