At Northeast Flow (NEF) we have developed a new type of heating service that helps our customers reduce their heating costs without the need for large investments. Through our Computational Heat service, we generate heat using high-performance computational processing. Our customers save on heating costs while also gaining better insights into their energy use.

At NEF, our vision is to help improve energy efficiency by merging two traditionally separate segments: computational processing and the heating of buildings. By creating smarter, more flexible heating systems, we can optimise energy consumption and help customers achieve a new level of efficiency and sustainability.

Senior Full Stack Developer

Are you an experienced developer that is looking for a place to grow at and make an impact on technological decisions? We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement exciting customer solutions, improve our overall service, and build new functionalities. You will be responsible for the direction and technical strategy of our software development, supported by a skilled team that currently includes one developer and the rest of NEF’s personnel to support you.

What we expect from you:

• Over 5 years of experience in software development

• Solid experience in PHP programming

• Experience in JavaScript programming and modern frameworks (e.g., Vue.js)

• Experience working with MySQL Server or other databases

• Good understanding of frontend, backend, and REST API development

• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)

• Fluent communication skills in English or Finnish

• Additionally, we value self-directedness and the ability to manage larger projects effectively

It’s a plus if you also have:

• Experience with WebSocket technologies and Node.js programming

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience in UNIX/Linux environments

• Experience with blockchain technologies and/or the energy sector

• Experience working in small companies or startups, as well as independent work capabilities

• Additionally, any contribution to open-source projects, Github links and displays of passion projects are all welcome
