The Finance and Treasury division is made up of three main teams: Accounting, Financial Controlling, and Payroll/HR Administration. Their shared mission? To help structure Ageras by developing efficient processes, tailored controls to support the company’s growth securely and ensuring the accuracy of the financial reporting. You will be part of a diverse team of 11, with colleagues in Paris, Copenhagen and Berlin.

✨ As a Financial Controller, you will

In this international team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate monthly closings and managing the accounting policies for the French market, while also juggling the various regulations of other European countries. You will have the opportunity to closely collaborate with the accounting team and various business teams.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include (but is not limited to):

  • Manage and control monthly closing and reporting
  • Manage and control annual closing, as well as have contact with and provide material for auditors
  • Cost controlling
    • Day to day financial controlling of actuals and comparison to budget
    • Monthly analysis
    • Collaborate cross departments
  • Internal reporting:
    • Review, control and reconciliation of balance and P&L accounts
    • Perform month end accruals and provisions
    • Ensure correct and on time reporting
  • Create new processes in financial controlling:
    • Participate in the implementation of tools to improve and ensure the reliability of the financial figures and reporting processes
    • Contribute to the optimization and improvement of our existing processes
  • Project management
    • Drive and execute financial projects which is not part of daily operations
  • Accounting policies in external reporting: consolidate the numbers to comply with all French/European regulations

Requirements

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in similar assignments, with experience from financial controlling,
  • You have a strong financial skillset and a good understanding of accounting, VAT and tax principles. An experience from audit would be a plus,
  • You have an excellent knowledge of French regulations. Knowledge of European regulations and IFRS along with transfer pricing would be a plus,
  • You understand the financial issues (strategic, functional, and organizational) of a growing and international company and can adapt to different cultural and regulatory environments,
  • You are used to managing large volumes of data
  • You are proficient with our tools (Excel, Power BI, Business central or equivalent Microsoft products),
  • You have a strong team-player mindset and are curious and open-minded to try new processes,
  • You are autonomous and proactive: you are comfortable managing projects from start to finish,
  • You are pedagogical and have excellent written and oral communication skills,
  • You are able to communicate in English and French (part of our team is English-speaking!).
