Node.js Developer – Backend Rewrite 🚀

TL;DR: We’re moving from a Python3/Flask monolith to a modular Node.js architecture. You’ll start by stabilizing the current system (bug fixes, tweaks, the works) to understand its ins and outs. Then, you’ll help design and implement the next-gen Node.js backend as the foundation for the global mobile plan of the future.

What You’ll Do 🛠️

• Tame the Current Beast: Fix bugs, improve performance, and keep our Python3/Flask backend running smoothly while you get to know it.

• Lead the Rewrite: Work with the tech lead to design and build a modern, service-based Node.js backend.

• QA Champion: Take ownership of platform quality. Squash bugs, prevent new ones, and keep customers happy.

• Modular Magic: Refactor core functionalities into clean, scalable services and APIs.

• Team Play: Collaborate with frontend developers (our Next.js crew) and designers to keep everything in sync.

What You Bring to the table 🍽️

• Strong backend development experience with a focus on Node.js.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, backend architecture, and modular systems.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Debugging skills to spot and fix problems (bonus points if you like QA).

• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Cloud (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/K8s) experience is a plus.

• Willingness to work with our Python/Flask system. No Python mastery required, just curiosity.

💰 Location & Compensation:

• Europe - Remote, with optional occasional travel across Europe to join the team.

• €6,500/month for 6 months assessment
