We are a nerdy bunch that takes great pride in our work. We care about the details and hold ourselves to high standards in design, product development, and every activity we undertake. Our product is technically complex, and most of our team consists of engineers who are busy building, designing, and selling our product. Your job is to be the glue that keeps us all together.

What you will do

You will play a pivotal role in building connections and organizing our small remote team. As the “social glue” of our remote company, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing activities that bring our team together, managing our bi-annual retreats, and organizing (virtual) social events. Alongside this, you’ll handle a range of administrative and HR-related tasks, ensuring our company operates smoothly.

We offer flexible work hours. During our bi-annual retreats and the weeks leading up to them, you'll travel (to exotic locations) and have more preparation work. However, for most of the year, we're very accommodating. You can easily take time off for exams, vacations, and other personal commitments.

Example tasks

  • Plan and execute our two yearly team retreats in European destinations (Spain, France, Greece, Netherlands). This includes organizing the social program, managing hotel and flight bookings, coordinating team members, and ensuring the trips are enjoyable for everyone.

  • Organize team social activities such as coffee chats, bi-weekly virtual Strava challenges, Friday bars with quizzes and games, Christmas events, and ad hoc virtual experiences like escape rooms or LAN parties.

  • Support HR-related tasks, including assisting with employee onboarding, managing contracts, conducting salary research, maintaining employee databases, managing equipment, tracking vacations, and reviewing expenses.

  • Handle administrative responsibilities such as reviewing expenses, managing company subscriptions, assisting with visa processes, and light accounting tasks.

What you get

  • The chance to work in a fast-paced, international environment with lots of entrepreneurial and young people.

  • Freedom to work from anywhere with an internet connection since we are a remote-first company (i.e., no physical office).

  • The chance to take ownership and be responsible for your own projects in a highly independent role.

  • A role with the social aspect in the forefront — if you are great with people, you’ll be a great fit.

  • Direct reporting to the founding team, as you will be coordinating most activities with them.

  • 10-20 hours of work per week with some variation and high flexibility

Who You Are

A current student from a university in Denmark who is:

  • Social: You bring positive energy and can foster strong connections and engagement among team members, whether via Google Meet or in-person.

  • Organized: You’re highly structured and detail-oriented, as you might be juggling multiple tasks at once.

  • Responsible: You thrive in an independent work environment and can make your own decisions with limited guidance.

  • Proactive: You actively seek out opportunities to improve processes, introduce new fun initiatives, and make Medusa a better place to work.

  • Communication: You communicate fluently in English since most of your co-workers are non-Danes.
