Job Description

We're looking for a skilled no-code developer to create a lightweight, embeddable widget for a website. This widget will help foodservice operators and central kitchens discover creative ways to repurpose kitchen sidestreams (e.g., vegetable scraps, bread crusts) into valuable menu items.The widget will integrate OpenAI API, Airtable, and Zapier/Make to process uploaded menus, identify sidestreams, and generate upcycling ideas and recipes dynamically.

The solution should be easily embeddable into any website and simple to maintain and update over time.

Scope of Work

1. Widget Features:

• Menu Upload: Allow users to upload PDF or text files containing menu information or ingredients.• Ingredient Identification: Process the uploaded data to identify potential sidestreams.

• Recipe Suggestions: Use OpenAI API to generate upcycling ideas and display them dynamically.• Dynamic Results Display: Show recipes and suggestions in a clean, visually appealing format.

• Data Integration: Save processed data into Airtable for storage and future use.

2. Integration Requirements:

• API Integration: Connect OpenAI API for recipe generation.

• Airtable: Use Airtable as the backend database to store sidestreams and recipes.

• Zapier/Make: Automate workflows, such as data storage, updates, and notifications.• Website Embedding: Ensure the widget can be embedded seamlessly into any website using iframe or script.

3. Design:

• Build an intuitive and user-friendly interface for uploading menus and viewing results.

• Include a responsive design that works well on desktop and mobile devices.

4. Maintenance and Scalability:

• Provide documentation for maintaining and updating the widget.

• Ensure the solution is scalable to handle more users or additional features in the future.

Deliverables

1. Fully functional widget that meets all outlined features and integration requirements.2. Step-by-step documentation for embedding the widget in Wix and managing updates.3. Integration setup for Airtable, OpenAI API, and Zapier/Make workflows.4. Testing and debugging to ensure smooth functionality.

Requirements

• Experience with no-code platforms (e.g., Glide, Softr) 

• Expertise in API integrations (OpenAI, Airtable, Zapier).• Familiarity with embedding widgets on websites.

• Strong design skills to ensure the widget is visually appealing and intuitive.

• Clear communication and ability to meet deadlines.
