Front-end developer for Inurtech Startup

We are an ambitious fintech startup based in Norway, aiming change the insurance technology landscape. As we gear up to launch our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) this winter, we are looking for a talented and motivated Front-End Developer to join our team.

Frontend Development in React

Core App: Build screens for purchase, claims filing, coverage overview, and account management.
Mobile-First Design: Ensure responsiveness for mobile devices, but allow basic web access.
Real-Time Location Triggering: Implement location-based triggers to activate insurance coverage, including accurate pricing based on location.

Backend API Integrations and Database Setup (2-4 weeks):

Integrate with the insurance backend and Google API for location services.
Establish user authentication, policy data, and claims management endpoints.
Ensure GDPR-compliant data storage, especially since it involves sensitive location data. We seek someone with proven experience as a Front-End Developer, preferably within the fintech sector, and strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Experience with mobile app development using frameworks like React Native or Flutter is a must. A good understanding of the full tech stack, familiarity with version control systems like Git, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability to work independently in a remote environment, are also crucial.

We have built the insurance product, and we are going to build the app. Simen started working on Kvikk while studying Innovation & Management, and has previously been travelling around the world several times and do understand the importance of travel insurance. We honestly believe that insurance companies should do better. In this digital world, insurance should be more available for the customer. There should be possible to buy insurance, get an overview and file claims within minutes, and always available in your own pocket. We also believe in fair and transparent products, where the customer actually gets a personalised products tailored to their own travel pattern.
