Integrify is an international coding academy from Finland with a social mission at its heart. Since 2016, we have trained over 2,000 tech talents across Europe and Saudi Arabia and helped them kick-start their future-proof careers.
We’re now looking for a Game Design & Development trainer to help change the lives of Saudi youth and train the next wave of game developers during an 8-week online program that starts in Q1/2025. The aim of the program is to provide beginner-level training in game development, game design and game art.
As a trainer, you’ll help game enthusiasts and developers at the beginning of their careers to advance their technical skills. You will provide high-quality game development training that consists of live lectures, hands-on assignments, code reviews, and guided project work where trainees build their own mobile games. Our education is designed to simulate a real work-life experience as much as possible.
You’ll refine our 8 - week Game Development curriculum outline to match the local market needs together with our Head of Technology and Education
You’ll prepare for the programs by creating lectures, assignments and demos based on the curriculum outline. Part of the materials from our 15 - week game dev program can be reused in this program.
Provide daily online training (5 days a week, Sun-Thu) by giving lectures, explaining technical concepts, and giving technical assignments and demo sessions
Supporting our trainees by providing feedback and mentoring and participating in code review
Helping trainees in team projects that simulate real work-life situations
Organize demo sessions and workshops
Focus on developing your own hard and soft skills through work and learning sessions
Work together with a supporting trainer and the student operations team to ensure our trainees are learning at a good pace
You have proven experience in game development, game design, and game art
You are familiar with the focus area technologies and concepts in our curriculum, mainly: C#, Unity Engine, Simple game development-related architectures and design patterns (Singleton pattern, MVC), At least basic understanding of shaders and rendering pipelines, Quick game design basics (elevator pitch, brainstorming decks etc). Blender or similar 3d art software.
You are excited about helping people learn
You are good at explaining technical concepts to more junior people
You speak fluent English
Previous experience of teaching is a big plus
Unity instructor certification is a big plus
The role is remote and project-based with an opportunity to continue teaching future programs as well. Work week is according to local customs i.e. Sunday - Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
