The opportunity
First and foremost, you get to work with exciting technical challenges. We have
confidence in you to solve problems, and our engineers feel that they are heard, that
they get to improve their skill set, and that they learn new things. As a Senior React
Software Developer, you will experience that what you do has an impact on the
company. This position is a key hire for us, as you will lead efforts to build faster, more
efficient, and user-friendly interfaces across various platforms. You are someone who is
not just proficient in React but passionate about it—someone who stays updated with
the latest industry trends and is more than happy to share their knowledge!
Our engineering team develops frontend applications for internal and external use,
spanning web-based and native mobile platforms. We are a team with strong full-stack
capabilities, which helps us work efficiently across the entire technology stack.
However, as the landscape of frontend technologies evolves rapidly, we see an exciting
opportunity to specialize even further, particularly within the realm of frontend
development.
Our tech stack today:
● We use React in our frontend projects
● We use React native for our native apps
● We use Figma for UI sketches and Storybook for UI documentation and testing
● We have services in both Python and Java and we use Flask as API framework
● We use Kubernetes and Docker to run container images and we run our services
in Google Cloud
● Our database management system is PostgreSQL, and we use Jenkins to build
and Ansible for deployment
● We use gerrit for code review
Who are we looking for
You are a passionate programmer with at least 10+ years of professional experience
in frontend development, with a strong foundation in HTML, CSS & Javascript. Of
your experiences, at least 5+ years should be in pure React development. You are
professionally curious about new technology and practices, and new ways of doing
things better. You care about developing user-friendly products together with different
members of MazeMap.
It is also important to us that you have good analytical skills, that you are pragmatic, and
that you are a good problem solver. As a senior member of the team you would be the
go-to technical leader for anything React-related, leading in shaping and improving our
frontend architecture. You would help set and drive adoption of best practices in
development, from code reviews to pair programming. You contribute positively to the
engineering culture which values collaboration, knowledge-sharing and outcome-based
thinking.
We have a diverse group of colleagues, so you must have good communication skills in
English, both written and oral.
The work location is in Trondheim, and we prefer that you are or will be based here.
What we offer
● Competitive compensation
● Bonus & share program
● An engineering culture that promotes learning and knowledge sharing
● Interesting problems to solve
● State-of-the-art premises in the penthouse floor of the Adressa building in
Trondheim
● Flexible arrangements in relation to working hours and home office.
