Operations Manager, Rebl Eats

Rebl Eats is building the next generation food-to-go company (www.rebleats.com). Founded three  years ago, the company is having a really strong momentum and growing fast, so it’s the right time to expand the team. 

Today, we create sustainable ready-to-eat meals and snacks, available in supermarkets and food delivery. Rebl Eats has already sold more than 2 million products across Finland and is growing at 200% (volume vs last year). But this is only the beginning as we plan to grow our product portfolio further and expand internationally. The company is backed by Wolt founder Elias Aalto, among other prominent investors and has been selected in Slush 100’s iconic competition, 2024. You might also have seen our successful appearances in the investment TV-show “Leijonan Luola” and Suomalainen Menestysresepti.

As Rebl Eats is now entering its scaling phase, we are expanding our team, and looking for an Operations Manager. The goal is to strengthen our operations foundation, and allow us to seize all the growth opportunities coming our way, in a sustainable solid way. This new role, which will report to our awesome VP Operations. 

 

“Operations” in this role includes 3 main parts:

  • Operations/Supply chain: processes development and optimization: 

    • Skills:

      • Strategic and critical thinking, to understand how different aspects connect (commercial, financial, ops, product)

      • A solid optimization mindset to build initiatives that scale

    • Scope:

      • Develop and strengthen our supply chain processes and systems, to ensure we are ready to scale (new markets, new customers, new product ranges) 

      • Identify aspects to automatize in the chain and manage the implementation

      • Leverage data analysis to drive processes/productivity improvements in our own factory

 

  • Contract Manufacturers and suppliers management: 

    • Skills: 

      • A strong commercial/financial mindset combined with people skills, to be able to negotiate critical yearly contracts with existing or new partners

      • Being able to take into account the big picture and the overall strategy, to handle operations aspects and negotiating deals in a holistic way. 

    • Scope: 

      • Manage the relationship with our contract manufacturers on a day-to-day

      • Handle yearly contract and pricing negotiations in a strategic way, to ensure the best quality and prices possible at all times. 

      • Collaborate with partners to solve challenges together when those arise

      • For new product lines: source, assess and negotiate with new production partners (and also key ingredient suppliers)

 

  • Project Management and leadership: 

    • Skills:

      • Strong project leadership skills

      • Experience working cross-functionally, taking into account product, sales, finance, supply chain and ops partners

    • Scope:

      • In New Product Development projects, this role will take ownership of the operations aspects of the launch, and make sure the whole supply chain is synched to produce and bring the new products on the market on time (from production, prices, quality, to storage and logistics).

  • You have a strategic mindset and understand the big picture to think beyond pure operations

  • You take ownership to simply make things happen. 

  • You are an Excel and data analysis wizard who also loves working with ERP systems

  • You are a structured project lead, detail oriented and precise

  • You are a proactive problem solver, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty

  • Good communication skills, energy and positive can-do personality will also be valued

  • You are fully proficient in Finnish (to manage Finnish partners) and in English (team language)

 

Experience:

  • 3-6 years experience in strategic operations, finance, business control, management consulting or other relevant field

 

This is a new role and full-time permanent employment. We hope you can start in January.

Location: This role is hybrid (3 days from home and 2 days per week in our HQ in Herttoniemi, Sorvaajankatu 15, Helsinki)
