Embankment is a technology-first financial services company, delivering a unified and integrated software platform – combined with AI-enhanced services, that digitizes and automates core back-office operations for Europe’s private alternative fund managers.

We are 25+ employees and growing rapidly across our main office in Copenhagen and smaller offices in Aarhus, Stockholm and Oslo.

Team and role 🎒

We work on products that we deliver to internal and external customers through different applications that share the same core. The team currently consists of 3 full time senior engineers and 1 student engineer. In addition to engineers we are hiring a product manager and a designer to complete the first cross-functional team.

We collaborate day-to-day on Slack and using modern dev methodologies via Github.

This is a full-time permanent role. You can work from our locations in either Aarhus or Copenhagen and we welcome a few days of remote work per week. Our base salary range starts at EUR 80.000 + pension and benefits.

Typescript for both frontend and backend
React for frontend
Node.js for backend
Apollo for easily building and accessing a federated graph
TypeORM for interaction with Postgres
Redis for caching and real-time pub/sub

Your responsibilities 📝

Take full stack ownership of the issues that you work on
Identify the best technical solutions to issues while balancing speed and quality
Work closely with different stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions match expectations
Deliver high-quality output that sets a high standard for other team members
Review pull requests from your team members

Embankment wish to change the level of services available to fund managers running alternative funds today. Our own experience in the market, is that administrative tasks is an ever-compounding burden on fund managers, that adds little to no value. The services that need to be undertaken, either inhouse or outsourced, are primarily a hygiene factor. However, not having scalable solutions to the tasks can both diminish investor satisfaction, and be an inhibiter for growth going forward. We want to ensure that fund managers have the maximum flexibility to focus on the core deliverables and value-creating actions in the fund, while having ease of mind that the administrative side is taken care of and delivered at an efficient cost.
