About the Role:

Landell Games is looking for an enthusiastic Level Designer Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to our creative team. If you have a passion for game design and some foundational knowledge in creating engaging game environments, this 3 month unpaid internship could be your perfect start in the gaming industry.

• Assist in designing and prototyping game levels under the guidance of our experienced designers.

• Learn and apply basic use of level editing tools to create immersive environments.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the functionality and aesthetics of levels.

• Participate in playtesting sessions and integrate feedback to improve level design.

• Help maintain design documentation and contribute to creative discussions.

   

Please note this is a 3 month unpaid internship with the possibility to extend.

Who we think you are:

• A genuine passion for games and an interest in level design.

• Some familiarity with game design concepts and level editing tools such as level flow, affordances, push & pull, etc.

• Creative thinking and basic problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

• Share a portfolio that demonstrates your process of designing a level: from initial concept, through creating top-down map and/or block-out to finalizing the level.

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a relevant degree program, or self-taught with some basic projects to show.
