Are you ready to dive into the game development world? We are seeking a talented and motivated Texture Artist Intern to join our team. As a Texture Artist Intern at Landell, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced artists and contribute to the creation of visually stunning textures for our upcoming projects.
This is a 3-month's fully remote internship, with the possiblity to extend to 6 months.
Assist in the creation of high-quality textures for characters, environments, and props using industry-standard software (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
Collaborate with the art team to ensure consistency in style and quality across all textures.
Take direction from senior artists and implement feedback to refine and improve texture designs.
Maintain organized file structures and adhere to naming conventions for efficient asset management.
Stay updated on current trends and techniques in texture artistry to enhance skills and contribute fresh ideas to projects.
Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions to discuss creative ideas and project requirements.
Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, and Maya.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with team members.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
A portfolio showcasing examples of texture artwork or relevant projects is required.
Experience in creating clean texture bakes.
Experience with PBR materials/texturing and efficient UV unwrapping.
Can work 30hr per week (or up to 40hr).
