Looking to become a CO-founder of an established start-up company?

We’re Algenius Foods and we are a new Copenhagen-based startup company. We have a deep understanding of the food industry, and for the past 1.5 years we have learned a lot about building a business, operations, and the do's and don’ts of the startup world. We have also built a network of excellent advisors who are committed to our success.  We are looking for a technical CO-founder who would like to join us in building a transformative service for the food industry. What is most important is that you love the idea of becoming a CO-founder and building the best platform. Age, background, and gender do not matter, you are equally welcome to apply. It is important that we share values; we are open to all people, regardless of their skin color, religion, or whatever. You also need to love the idea of creating something from scratch, something impactful, and in the area of food. 

Your background   

We have been operating the business and product side of our startup for quite some time and have a good understanding of that part, but we need a technical co-founder. You do not need a lot of work experience, but you need to be good at the technical part and with the right attitude. If you want to be a leader down the line, it’s even better, because the plan is to expand the team quickly after securing funding. Our platform will include AI (LLMs, agentic workflows), algorithms, and perhaps elements of software development and UX, so having an understanding of those would benefit you. However, if you lack some of these but are a fast learner and you’re IT-savvy, please do reach out!

Most important is your attitude - the can-do and positive personality. You’re a good fit if you have a high work ethic, a good sense of humor, and love to have fun at work. This is an opportunity if you also, just like us, like to work on your own rules, not 9:00 to 17:00, but more flexibly and creatively.

How will this work?

First, let's meet to discover if we are on common grounds - both when it comes to the business perspective and also on a personal level.  Work hours at this stage will maybe be a few hours a day. At some point, we will reach product market fit and have secured funding and then we will progress to full-time with the right salary. This set-up means you are most likely on your Bachelor’s, Master's, PhD studies, or have savings from previous employments. You can be sure that you will receive a fair amount of equity.
