What does that mean? Excellent question. Tonsser isn't a game: it's reality. Since its launch in 2015, Tonsser has become the leading football app and platform for young players focusing on creating equal conditions and opportunities for players to unlock their potential.
In 2018, we created the 1st Tonsser United team to provide an alternative journey for unsigned youth football players. Based on their performances on the Tonsser app, players can earn a selection for Tonsser United in matches against academies, tryouts, and tournaments. Today 65% of players who have played for Tonsser United have been on trials or signed a contract with a pro club.
As we work to add more value, give visibility and provide more opportunities for youth players in France, Netherlands and England, Tonsser is looking for an intern to help us identify talent for our 21st-century football club, Tonsser United.
The Job
In this internship, you will become part of the Customer Experience team, which will include areas ranging from Player selection and recruitment, Customer Experience & support, CRM, and Customer engagement. You will be connected with every single one of those areas in some capacity during the internship and get the chance to work on several individual projects.
The Football Talent Scout Intern's mission is to give as many opportunities to as many players as possible. This isn't just to find the next Ronaldo who slipped through the cracks: it's for everyone who wants to take a step up in their football career.
- Locate best-performing players by using our data to find potential talent
- Build up the list to be shared with Tonsser United Coaches
- Secure the players by supporting the recruitment process & making sure that their parents allow them to attend our events
- Onboard new Tonsser United players by explaining the value of the opportunities we are providing and keeping them engaged throughout the season
- Reactivate ex-Tonsser United players by reaching out to them and building a relationship
Additionally, from time to time, you will work with our Support tool, Intercom, to be able to help our users with their problems. This will yield you invaluable experience in terms of communicating with users, understanding them and gaining insights to improve the Tonsser United experience.
Finally, during the season we’ll have performance achievements (Team of the Week, Player Rankings, Team of the Season) to verify and publish.
All internships are by default unpaid.

- Fluency in written and verbal English is critical for day-to-day communication
- Verbal and written fluency in at least one of the following languages is mandatory: French or Dutch
- Know and be very familiar with and have a strong interest in the youth football scene in one of the following countries: France, Netherlands or England
- Be comfortable with and good at talking to multiple stakeholders be it via email or on the phone
- Be a fast learner and have a facility with technology
- You are able to work approx. 40 hours a week
